Zone Systems Digital NMX-88D

The NMX-88D is an audio matrix with a digital signal processor (DSP) that offers a complete and versatile solution for audio signal management and processing. This matrix allows for the configuration of sound systems with simple control for the end user. It features powerful signal processing tools to adapt and enhance audio signals for any venue or application, ensuring the best sound distribution results. It provides installers with the ability to configure sound systems with multiple inputs and outputs, while offering users an easy way to control the sound.

It is based on an ADI SHARC 21489 architecture, with 40-bit floating point processing and high processing capacity (400 MIPS, 1600 MFLOPS).
It has 8 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs, as well as 8 digital DANTE inputs and 8 digital DANTE outputs. Additionally, it includes a USB sound card input and output channel for playback, recording on a PC, or use with video call software.

One of the standout features of the NMX-88D audio matrix is its signal processing algorithms. The main ones include: Echo Cancellation (AEC) for video conferencing. Feedback Cancellation (AFC) allows for flexible placement of microphones and speakers, improving speech amplification and delivering audio where needed. Noise Suppression (ANS) effectively eliminates stationary noise other than voice. Automatic Gain Control (AGC) ensures optimal input levels. In addition to other functions such as auto-mixing and priority control, it also includes signal dynamics processing such as parametric filters, graphic filters, noise gate, expander, compressor, delays, crossover network, and limiter.
Processing can be applied to both analog channels and DANTE digital channels.
Each channel has a volume control that can operate independently or link two channels to form a stereo channel.
The assignment matrix allows inputs to be assigned to outputs with independent volume control for each assignment, enabling different mixes for each output.
Up to 16 scenes can be saved and loaded, with an auto-save memory function for the last session's selected parameters.
8 GPIO ports for controlling actions on the matrix or other devices.
For conference system applications, it includes PTZ camera control for debate tracking.

 
The matrix features a powerful modular configuration software. Each input channel can be configured with 5 different processing modules, and each output channel with 4 processing modules. The processing algorithms are highly customizable, allowing great flexibility in configuration and personalization to provide tailored solutions for various installations, such as audio distribution, conference systems, etc. The configuration software can manage multiple matrices to form a complex system.
With the software, custom control panels can be created for execution on touchscreens, tablets, or smartphones (Android and iOS), displaying only the necessary functions for each user.
The matrix can be connected via an Ethernet port. It features UDP, RS-232, and RS-485 connectivity, along with a communication protocol for integration with other control systems.

Thanks to its flexibility, it can be used for voice applications such as conference systems or video call rooms, as well as music systems in restaurants, hotels, shopping centers, etc.
